Can I bring my class to Special Collections and Archives?

Answer

Special Collections and Archives strives to cultivate students’ abilities to think critically and to contextualize, investigate and authenticate historical and cultural resources. Librarians and archivists work closely with teaching faculty to develop sessions that promote and encourage these outcomes.

Request an instruction session by contacting Special Collections and Archives or filling out the instruction form at least two weeks in advance.

Instruction can come in many forms, including:

  • General introductions to finding and using our materials
  • Specialized sessions on resource discovery tailored to a specific course or assignment
  • Demonstrations or hands-on instruction on using research tools, such as Arizona Archives Online and our digital archives.
